The CSA continues to grow every year. The scope of the activities of the member companies includes the growing and cultivation, importing and distribution, processing and treatment, as well as the marketing of these products. Eligibility for membership is open to any firm or individual having offices in Canada and engaged in the spice trade in Canada for a minimum of one year. Applicants are interviewed by a Director of the Association to determine if membership requirements are met. Membership is determined by a majority vote of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of a minimum of 12 members representing the different regions of Canada and are nominated by committee and elected for a term of one year.

Officers of the Association (elected by the Directors) are:

    • President
    • Vice President
    • Treasurer

Committees have been established to deal with ongoing and special issues pertaining to our diverse membership. Positions are filled voluntarily on the following committees:

    • Technical/Government Affairs
    • Nomination
    • Convention (Optional)
    • Website

Special Committees are established as the need arises. Individual members are encouraged to volunteer on existing committees, in order to keep participation at the highest level. CSA has two Director’s Meetings per year including a general meeting and a Convention every second year.
