  General Membership
   
 

Eligibility: Any individual, partnership, firm or corporation engaged in the Spice Trade in Canada for a period no less than one year.

The term "Spice Trade" includes all those individuals, partnerships, firms, corporations (or their subdivisions) or associations whose activities, to a significant extent, involve the importation, processing, treatment, or growing of spices, seeds and herbs or extractives thereof, as well as dehydrated products.

Applicants for Membership must submit a letter to the Association Board Director or Association Office together with a cheque for the initiation fee, stating that they are applying for Membership, that they have offices in Canada, and that they have been engaged in the Spice Trade in Canada for a minimum of one year.

A Director, appointed by the President, shall interview the applicant by telephone or in person within 15 days of receiving the application to determine if Membership requirements are met, and to explain the obligations of a Member.

The Director will report no later than 15 days after the interview and if the interview is favourable, the notice of Application will be circulated to the Membership within 15 days. Any objections must be reported within 30 days.

If there are no objections from the membership, the Applicant shall be accepted into the Association. If there are objections to the Application, the application will remain pending until the next Director's meeting where discussion and voting will take place. A majority vote will rule on acceptance /rejection of the Applicant.

The Applicant will be advised in writing of his acceptance, and the member will be billed for the established annual dues.

   
   
  Associate Membership
   
 

Eligibility: Any individual, partnership, firm or corporation having offices in Canada, with an existing and ongoing commercial relationship with all or some of the members of the CSA, and falling into one of the following categories:

Trade Associations

Service Industries

Related Suppliers

Consultants

Application for Membership will follow the same procedure as for General Membership.

   
   
  International Membership
   
 

Eligibility: Any individual, partnership, firm or corporation outside of Canada, engaged in the Spice Trade in Canada for a period no less than one year

Application for Membership will follow the same procedure as for General Membership.
